Why Don't You Have Credit Bureau Monitoring?

By law, you're entitled to one free credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion) every year.

A good strategy is to space out these requests over the year to keep a regular check on your credit.

When reviewing your credit report, look for:

  • Accounts you don’t recognize
  • Unexplained credit inquiries
  • Changes to your credit limits or balances

You can request your free credit reports from AnnualCreditReport.com.

Additionally, free tools like NerdWallet provide a great alternative for regularly tracking your credit.
