Before you begin, decide whether you'd like to use 1Password with a family or as an individual. Here’s what you need to know:

• Family Account: If you want to join a family account, ask the family account creator to send you an invitation. If you already have an individual account, you can migrate to a family account. If you plan to create a new family account, start with 1Password Families.
• Individual Account: To sign up individually, visit 1Password.com. After signing up, you'll receive an email to confirm your account. From there, you can set a strong account password, which you'll use to unlock 1Password. Be sure to prepare your Emergency Kit and fill in your password, so you won’t forget it.
